Cory Hunter

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Cory Hunter began playing music at the age of 4. His earliest musical experiences involved oldies radio, going to church, and trying his hand at all the instruments. After many years of various instrument training, Cory realized a deeper love and connection to the bass guitar than previous instruments. Within two weeks of playing bass, he began playing gigs and playing bass in his local southern baptist church. The church music paired with his blues, r&b, and soul influence truly began to translate a voice for Cory.

In 2009, Cory moved to Los Angeles to pursue music and complete degrees in Biblical Studies and Music Performance. He has since made a living as a professional live/touring/studio bassist having toured North America, Europe, and Asia extensively with artists including Brooke Fraser, Christina Grimmie, and Joe Brooks. Other shows have included dates opening for The Who, Jessie J, Brandi Carlile, Allen Stone, and many more in venues including The Staples Center, Red Rocks, and The O2 Arena.

Fortunate to have shared musical experiences with many major figures from each of the last 5 decades, Cory approaches life constantly seeking wisdom in hopes of building up others in musical situations. His love for the different patterns, cycles, and seasons of the industry allows him to operate amongst a wide spectrum of pursuits.
